What information is collected when I access the Glimpsy platform?

Is my data and personal information protected at Glimpsy?

For sure! We have adopted all measures of the General Data Protection Regulation to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the information and to prevent access or misuse of such data by third parties. See more information on this topic in our Privacy Policy .

Why do I need to authorize the app to access my phone's camera?

Augmented reality technology requires the camera to interact with the environment you are in.

 

Why does the app need to access my mobile's location services?

The place where a Glimp is created helps to contextualize the message. For the experience within our platform to be complete, you need to allow the application to access the location of your mobile phone.

How do I report inappropriate, abusive or prejudiced content?

We do not tolerate any inappropriate content or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender, religion, age, disability or illness. If you find any content that you believe to be discriminatory or abusive, please follow the steps:

 

1º Click on the @nickname of the creator of this Glimp

2º Click on MORE OPTIONS

3º Select REPORT USER

We analyze the profile and content of this reported user and if it is determined that it violates our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines we will delete the Glimp and the user, if necessary.

I think my account has been hacked!

Keep calm! If you suspect that your account has been hacked, let us know immediately at hello@theglimpsy.com with the facts.

 

I received a strange email from Glimpsy requesting my information. Is this right?

Glimpsy never sends messages asking for your account password, bank information, credit card details or any other personal information.

How do I enable or disable the notifications I receive?

1º Click on the NOTIFICATION button on the main screen

2º Click on the NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

3º Now just activate or deactivate the notifications you want

 

Are you sure you want to turn off notifications? If you do, you will not be aware of the likes and comments your Glimp receives, if you have been tagged in any content or if there are any interesting Glimps near you.
